Governing law notice: Our general governing law is Canada (Province of Québec). However, for purchases by UK consumers, your mandatory rights under UK consumer law apply and prevail where they offer stronger protection. Nothing in this policy limits those rights.
1) Your right to cancel (cooling-off)
If you buy as a UK consumer, you may cancel within 14 days of receiving your goods without giving any reason. This is your statutory right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
- How to cancel: email support@chair-covers.uk with your order number and a clear statement that you are cancelling.
- Return deadline: after cancelling, you must send the goods back within 14 days.
- Refund timing: we refund within 14 days of receiving the goods back or receiving proof you have sent them, whichever is first.
- Refund scope: we refund the price paid and the standard delivery cost (any extra paid for express/premium delivery is not refunded).
- Condition: you may inspect the goods as in a shop. If you handle them beyond what's necessary to check fit/quality, we may deduct for any diminished value.
2) Our enhanced returns window (goodwill)
In addition to your legal right to cancel, we offer a free 30-day returns window for UK orders. During this period we provide a prepaid label (or reimburse reasonable return postage) for change-of-mind returns of complete, undamaged sets.
3) Faulty, damaged or not as described
- Within 30 days: you have a short-term right to reject for a full refund.
- After 30 days and within 6 months: we will repair or replace within a reasonable time. If that is impossible or unsuccessful, you can choose a refund. Faults reported within 6 months are presumed to have been present on delivery unless we prove otherwise.
- Return costs: for faulty/incorrect items, we cover return postage and any replacement delivery.
4) Items we cannot accept back (or where deductions may apply)
- Products returned used, heavily soiled, with strong odours, pet hair, stains or signs of washing/drying.
- Incomplete sets (e.g., sets of 4/6 missing covers) or items missing essential packaging/inserts needed for resale.
- Personalised or made-to-order items (if ever offered). Note: your statutory 14-day right cannot be excluded for standard goods.
5) How to start a return
- Email support@chair-covers.uk with your order number, reason (change-of-mind / wrong size / faulty) and photos if faulty/damaged.
- We will issue an RMA and provide the correct returns address (UK or EU hub). Do not send returns to the correspondence address above.
- Pack items securely. For sets, include all pieces. Use the provided label or keep proof of posting.
6) Refunds & exchanges
- Refunds are made to the original payment method. Processing by your bank can take 3–10 working days after we issue the refund.
- Exchanges are processed as a new order once your return is received (faster availability and tracking).
- Promotions/bundles: if you partially return an order, we may recalculate discounts accordingly.
7) Care, inspection & hygiene
You may try covers for fit on a clean chair. Please avoid extended household use before deciding, to prevent value deductions. For care, follow the label: typically machine wash 30 °C, air-dry, do not bleach, do not tumble dry hot, no high-heat ironing.
8) Complaints & dispute resolution
We aim to resolve issues quickly via support@chair-covers.uk. UK consumers may also seek advice from Citizens Advice. This policy does not affect your statutory rights.
